The Air Training Corps provides cadets with the opportunity of completing a BTEC Award in Aviation Studies and also a BTEC Award in Public Services. Cadets receive lectures from official publications (called ACPs or Air Cadet Publications) and sit exams to progress through the structure towards the qualification. Cadets are awarded badges of recognition for their uniform as they progress through this structure. These qualifications are nationally recognized and are certified by BTEC and Edexcel.

Specialist Training & Courses
In addition to the standard training syllabus, cadets are able to attend and qualify in a number of other areas. This training is provided on specialist courses and again most qualifications are nationally recognized by a related body. Such courses may include Community Sports Leader Award, RYA Sailing Courses, Basic Expedition Leaders Award, and St. John Ambulance Youth First Aid qualification, just to name a few!
