Fieldcraft is an activity which teaches the cadets how to be self-sufficient and survive in the field, it also includes the art of camouflage and concealment. You will gain skills that will prove invaluable when taking part in exercises that are run such as; erecting a 'basha', cooking ration packs in the field, tactical movement and much more.
We run exercises which put these new skills to the test and see how much you have learned whilst being great fun as you get to crawl about completing mission objectives without being caught by the enemy. This is all done with the greatest of safety precautions taken. Cadet Hammond on fieldcraft:
'Fieldcraft is a very challenging but very exciting thing of the ATC and learn lots of military skills. Which will help me in my future career in the Royal Engineers.'
