158 Squadron was established in 1939 under the 'new' Air Defence Cadet Corps which would later become the Air Training Corps we know today. We celebrated our 70th Anniversary in 2009; we held a Squadron parade and hosted an open day for the public.

We are located in the heart of Braintree and have local green spaces which we use for training, providing a range of exciting opportunities for young people aged between 13 and 18 in the district.

We are made up of around Fifty cadets, which are split into three flights (A, B and C) and a dedicated team of ten staff members that all hold varying roles within the unit based on their skills and experience.

We parade Monday and Friday evenings between 1900 and 2130.
