The Corps has an operational structure that stems from Headquarters Air Cadets (HQAC). The Corps is split into six Regions, which are divided into six Wings, which is then separated into individual Squadrons.

158 Braintree Squadron along with 26 other Squadrons, belongs to Essex Wing, which belongs to London & South East Region (L&SER).
