So does being a member of 158 Squadron sound like something you'd like to do? If so and your aged between 13 and 17 you can join up as a cadet during our next intake. If you are aged 20 or older you can be a part as a member of staff, you can come in for a chat on any parade night.
We have two intakes per year; one around March and the other around September. These start off at a recruitment evening, where you get the chance to speak to the cadets and staff, parents can ask as many questions they want. You are also invited to look around the Squadron to get an idea of what exactly we have done in the past and are doing in the future.
When you first join, there is a uniform deposit of £10. This is given back upon the return of uniform at the end of a cadets career. After this there is a weekly fee of £1.50, which subsidizes some of what we do, this can be paid either on a parade night or by standing order for ease.
During your first 6 months in the Corps you will do all your basic training to get you up to a level that will let you take part in all the activities. You will also have the opportunity to take part in a museum visit and a shooting training weekend.
